Mac Lipstick Store

Question: Can i return a mac lipstick that was used?

I bought a lipstick and it looks horrible on me. I just used it once. But I hate it. I want to exchange it for another. I know that you can return used makeup at sephora.. is mac the same way? Please let me know. a lot of yesses and a lot of no.. help? Please be 100% sure with your answer. Since sephora lets u return used makeup .. y not mac?

YES! ive returned many MANY used items to mac. it even says so on there site. mac guarantees satisfaction of ALL there products. all you need is the box and recipt. dont listen to the people saying no. they have no idea what there talking about.

Nope you can't return makeup that has been opened. Sanitary reasons. At a lot of MAC counters they will try on a color before you buy it.

Go to the store that you bought the lipstick from and tell them that you do not like it. Ask them if you can exchange it for a different one

You can't return it, but what you can do is wipe off the top layer with rubbing alchohol of 70% or more volume so it disinfects, and then you can post an ad on Craigslist or something, and in the description say that it was used once and sanitized

No you can't with Mac. Hygenic reasons why didn't you use the testers to see which one suited you best

Just go for it, you have nothing to lose eh ? Tell them you were not satisfied with the product you bought, say that in the shop it looked nice but in daylight the colour was too bright (or w.e reason) hopefully if they don't give a refund they will atleast let you exchange.

Do you have a receipt and/or the box? If you don't it might be a little more difficult. I have returned used items to MAC before without a problem, as long as I have the receipt or the box. If you don't it depends on whether or not they feel like doing it. Otherwise ask for an exchange. Most of the MA's are willing to do that. MAC doesn't resell any returned products, so the fact that you used it shouldn't be a problem. But just try it, if they tell you no, they tell you no. It's also best if you can bring it to a freestanding store for return. MAC counters often have regulations through the department store in which they're in, so there's a chance that you could run into a problem because of that. That's the best I can tell you, sorry. These things don't really have a 'right' answer. Some places are more willing to do it than others. You just have to try hun.
